I got three bullets shot through my heart, I could feel excruciating pain, but I held my hand in front of my chest and started running blindly. I did know where I was going or who I was looking for. It was just fear that gave me flight.
I stumbled against my sister, got up, and started running again, followed by her just two paces behind me. I saw my husband fleetingly, all concern...my daughter...my family....my friends..but I could not stop.
It was strange even they were there, my childhood friends, passing me like a blur, when did they all meet each other and why was everyone so busy?
I bumped into one of them and I tried to explain to her that I had been shot at, but she had a knife in her hand and she looked angry. I was really scared. However, she shoved a piece of bread into my mouth and ordered ,"eat this".
The bread was so sweet that my eyes flew open . Everything around me was still . I was really cold and numb, my chest was heavy and I couldn't hear anything ,not even my heartbeat .
I was lying alone on my bed, I was dreaming .
I told myself I had to go to the washroom, had to be back on my feet . I came back and lay down and heard myself snore even before my head hit the pillow .
I got up with a start , my survival instincts I guess, and poured myself a tall glass of water . The water tasted like the bread, really sweet.
Next morning I woke up feeling strange. what a nightmare? or was it?
I guess I had to thank my childhood friend but I couldn't even put a face to her.
Thank you life!
What a prophetic dream!

The bread of life
Meaning
Jesus Christ.
There is a simple literal interpretation of this phrase, which is - the food that we require for physical sustenance. It is rarely used in that way though and is most often use figuratively to mean the spiritual food needed for a full life. It is specifically used in that way by the Christian church to refer to Jesus Christ.
Origin
From the Bible, John 6:35 (King James Version)
"And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life. He that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
